On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, the Students’ Union Caretaker Committee of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, appreciated the management over the restoration of inactive street-lights within the university main campus.
This committee conveyed its appreciation via a memorandum through its publicity Secretary, Abdulrauf Abdullahi Opeyemi.
Opeyemi, in his words, believes that the restoration of the inactive solar street lights within the school premises will ease mobility at night and assure the safety of the students.
“The Students’ Union CTC appreciates and acknowledges the efforts of the school management for the swift actions and interventions in bringing these solar street lights back to function,” part of the memo reads.
While reiterating the influence these streetlights would have on the students, the memo stated that “the functionality of the street lights will feel safer, secure and relax the mind of the students from any atrocious acts that might occur in the night within the campus”.
