The reigning champion of Sokoto soccer team, team SOSSA, could not be overthrown on the beautiful evening of Wednesday, 05 January, 2022 as they defeated the Niger team, team NANISS in a bewildering 3-1 goal difference.
The enthrallng match started with Niger breaking the 0-0 deadlock at the mid first-half of the game, but it took the general spectator by surprise when in the second half Sokoto did a perfect, dramatic comeback to claim the leading position on the scoreboard.
Energetic Sokoto team came into the second half of the match fiercely and score a long-awaited equaliser, and before the referee could blow the whistle for shootout, another two decisive goals were spotted in Niger’s net.
UDUS VC’s cup, the tournament which kickstarted toward the mid semester saw a number of teams, states competing against theirselves from groups of four teams each, has now come to an end today seeing the Sokoto team, SOSSA wearing the “champion” crown again for a quite number of times in a row.
