The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto UDUS chapter, under the leadership of Sen. Comrd Zakariyahu Basheer has organized a three-week webinar for enlightening her members (NAKSSites).
The virtual webinar took place every Saturday in a closed WhatsApp community from 20th of July to 3rd of August, 2024. Former leaders, stakeholders of NAKSS-UDUS, and graduates of Danfodiyo with progressive minds also graced the webinar.
The host, Comrade Zakariyahu Basheer, doubling as the incumbent president of NAKSS structured the webinar’s topics in such a way to contribute to personal and professional development of NAKSSites.
Comrade Kolawole Abdulqudus (Liberty), the 2020/2021 president of NAKSS-UDUS facilitated the first webinar titled: “The power of networking: building professional connections and opportunities.”
During the course of his presentation, Liberty demystified the significance of elevator pitch while networking and encouraged NAKSSites to always present themselves properly to their role models.
In the second week, the former president of National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS) at national headquarters, Comrade Hussein Abdulbasit (Penguin) took the students through the journey of academic and professional opportunities.
Penguin’s session was titled: “Emerging diversity and inclusion in academics and professional settings.”
In the third week, Comrade Idris Adeshina Abdullateef, also known as Aloma, who is the immediate past president and leader of the excellence brigadier team NAKSS-UDUS, trained NAKSSites on how to conquer financial constraints.
“Managing financial literacy and budgeting as a student” was the topic given to Aloma’s session.
Past and current members and stakeholders of NAKSS-UDUS commended the efforts of the organizers and the facilitators for contributing to human knowledge.
