Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto has also set to participate in the Caliphate Debate, amongst the 8 invited tertiary institutions in Sokoto State.
The debate is a British parliamentary debate of world University debating championship standards, organized to be held at International Conference Center, Sokoto, for 3days, starting from 28th December to 30th December, 2021 by 9:00am each day.
“The debate will feature 8 teams where the total number of 16 participants will be competing for the prizes,” the flyer reads.
Two participants are to represent a team, and the representatives of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto are Bashir Bunamin Balogun and Fauziya Faruk Yabo.
In an interview with Bashir Bunamin Balogun, a 500 level student of Agriculture, he expressed his gladness to be one of the participants representing UDUS.
Bashir said that the competition is a massive great chance for all participants, and would be really exciting.
“I feel honored for being chosen, and I look forward to repaying the trust by doing well in the competition.
“Preparation is going well, and I look forward to tomorrow’s rounds,” he said.
