Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has organized a workshop on the 7th of December titled ‘Tips for Winning National Tetfund Research Fund (NRF). The workshop was held at the university main campus auditorium.
The event was chaired by Professor A. A. Bagudo. Professor S.O Bello of the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Professor S.Y.B Kura of the department of Political Science were the keynote speakers.
“A research proposal is an opportunity to domesticate one’s capability for independent critical thinking and excellent communication,” said Professor Kura during the event.
Professor Kura also focused his speech on how to propose a research grant.
“Before starting to write a grant research proposal it is expected of the writer to find the right grant agency, ensure the idea is good, discuss one’s proposal with others by showing them the write-up, being sound in writing, study very well the topic and request for proposal from the agency, consider very carefully issues he or she has personally, consider if it fits into the overall primary assignment given and reviewing TETFUND guideline.
