The Examinations Monitoring Committee (EMC), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, has through a circular, reminded the students of the Institution about the rules and regulations guiding the conduct of examination in the university.
In the circular, all students were advised in their own interest to observe all the Examinations rules and regulations (as contained in the Revised Students’ Handbook of the 2020/2021 Academic Session).
According to the circular: “Students must never be a party to any act of Examination misconduct and/or unethical conduct liable to attract negative consequences such as; introducing paper(s), book(s) or document(s) relevant or irrelevant into the Examination Hall; writing anything on the question paper unless you are asked to do so and displaying anything on the desk beside the I.D. Card and Examination Card.
Other regulations contained in the circular are “Receiving or Answering call around the examination premises”, “Movement or making noise in or around the premises”, “Failure to check around the desk and table before you are seated”, “Failure to write Examination Number and Title of Paper on the Answer Booklet and on each page and on each supplementary sheet used.
Also added in the curcular is “Non-compliance with the Covid-19 Protocols and guidelines as stipulated by the National Center Disease Control (NCDC).”
In addition to the above listed rules and regulations, the committee also prohibits students from entering into the examination halls with their mobile phones and other electronic devices.
Having stated all that, the Examination Monitoring Committee, EMC, UDUS, in conclusion, wishes all students “best of luck” in their examinations.
