On 26th of July, 2025, Abdul Azeez Mubarak Kilani, the president of the National Association of Agricultural Students, Nigeria (NAAS) Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, (UDUS) received a groundbreaking achievement appointed as the new Deputy Coordinator, North West Zone, corresponding to the office of the Senate president, at the NASS National level.
According to the official notice released by the association, AbdulAzeez Mubarak was appointed alongside five other executives from various universities in Nigeria, in recognition of their unwavering dedication and contributions that have positively impacted the association nationwide
Other student leaders who received the appointment with him include Ogunosola Solomon Olamiposi, who was selected as National Director of Social, Ahmad Muhammad Musa as Director of Publicity, Musab Bashir Yusuf, Secretary, North West Zone, Yasum Lucky Atiku, Coordinator, North East Zone, and lastly Joshiah Santa Dakwoyi, Deputy Coordinator, North East Zone.
Bn Maleek, a student of the Faculty of Agriculture, affirmed that the appointment came as a result of the product of his dedication, resilience, and hard work, and also wishes him more success
Speaking with the Pen Press UDUS, AbdulAzeez Mubarak said that getting to this point has been a journey of consistency, patience, and purpose. He faced challenges like everyone else, a lack of resources, doubts, but I never lost sight of my goals. I made sure I was always learning, staying humble, and surrounding myself with people who pushed me to be better.
“I kept trusting God and doing the work, even when it wasn’t easy. It’s not magic, just a mix of hard work, discipline, and grace” He said
